It’s Not Just About Sports!

It’s not just about sports at WSC! We have a downstairs bar serving a wide range of beers, wines and spirits as well as hot and cold soft drinks.  Snacks are always available and hot food is available at busy times. Upstairs we have a lounge that may be hired for special occasions.

As well as food and drink we have several big screen TVs (with Sports Channels), a couple of fruit machines, pool, snooker and darts.

If you prefer something quieter we have a great conservatory, lots of quiet nooks and outdoor tables for the good weather, so there is something for everyone.

Whether you want to relax after a gym or racket ball session, watch a match with your friends or have a tasty hot snack after the Park Run you be most welcome (feel free to ask in reception about a shower after Park Run if you need one).

We are open to all, 7 days a week, and all profits go back into the charity.

The John Softley Lounge

Upstairs, we also have our John Softley Lounge, which incorporates its own separate bar, a large, comfortable seated area with views over the main football pitch, and more facilities including TVs and a snooker table. The John Softley Lounge is available for private hire and the ideal place to meet, relax, drink, or recharge.

Your One Stop Shop for Parties and Celebrations

Although the Social Club areas are freely accessible to everyone virtually all the time, they are also available to hire for private, corporate or team meetings, formal events, celebrations, and so on. Spaces available to hire include:

  • both bars and the lounge areas;
  • the sports hall, which can be fitted with a lovely marquee lining for special events and celebrations;
  • a separate meeting room attached to the downstairs bar. This is a lovely self-contained space that’s perfect for meetings as well as being somewhere for sport teams to wind down in after a game. Food can be supplied by arrangement.
